“Active Brain in Non-Real Time” is an audio-visual installation that investigates the complex workings of the human brain through manipulated MRT scans. Using scans of Elma's brain as the core footage, the project transforms these clinical images into an abstract, immersive experience, offering a unique exploration of perception and cognition.

The visuals, processed and refined with After Effects, reimagine brain activity as fluid, non-linear patterns. In parallel, a custom soundscape was generated using Ableton, synchronized to reflect the pulsating rhythms of neural activity, creating a cohesive audio-visual experience that stimulates both the senses and the intellect.
