a Butoh-inspired exploration of the masks we wear, both consciously and unconsciously, throughout our lives. Through micro-movements and frozen moments, it reveals these layers, gradually uncovering the deeper masks that shield our true selves.
The piece is improvisational, with movements and voice emerging organically, reflecting a journey of trauma healing. It seeks to evoke and touch hidden emotions, encouraging both the performer and the audience to confront the layers they conceal. Ultimately, the performance aims to unearth the authentic self beneath the masks, offering a powerful reflection on the nature of Ego and inner truth.

SHIFT returns 11 years later under the Theme “Resistance.” This relaunch is intended to honor the true achievement of the experimental use of today’s OHM as an art space where the boundaries of all art forms are tested and crossed with exhibitions, performances, and theater by today’s internationally renowned artists.
